Rooted in the warm coastlines of San Diego and the heart of St. Louis, Saltwater & Silt Social Work (SSSW) was born from honoring both where we come from and who we are becoming. For recognizing in that we can hold onto traditions and be brave to champion new habits and ways of being.
Through my current role as a child and family therapist specializing in ages 3-7, I have witnessed first hand the programs and services that can benefit providers wanting to gain access to social, professional, and communal needs for families.
Drawing from my bi-regional upbringing, I’ve come to understand that cultural responsiveness isn’t just a clinical approach, it’s a lived commitment. Here at SSSW, every offering is shaped by the coast and the resilience of St. Louis, bridging cultural understanding with soulful consulting.
